What is Christmas?

navidad-regalos And she shall bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins (Matthew 1:21)

General consensus Christmas is the day where we celebrate the birth of the Son of God on earth. Until then, the relationship that the man had with God was distant and alien, a situation that lasted for more than four thousand years of Biblical history, where the man tried to please the heart of God. Yet the Scripture our state went on to say: "For all have sinned, all fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
Since we could not please the Lord, God Himself had to intervene, he did by sending his beloved Son for the forgiveness of our sins: "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus" (1 Tim. 2:5).
The birth of Jesus brought hope to all lost, the Scripture says in Matthew 4:16 "The people which sat in darkness saw great light, and those living in the region and shadow of death light has dawned." This starts a new dispensation called Grace, where the same God fights for us to justify through his beloved Son our sins. This is cause for us to rejoice in the same way that those scholars who inquired about the time of the appearance of the star that would show where he was born the Son of God. Therefore, Christmas is a celebration where we can find peace and quiet, for God is with us: "Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
The increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this "(Isaiah 9:6).

Merry Christmas
